And I've still never seen it. I will get to it....eventually. Since finishing Parasyte and Psycho Pass, I started a new anime called Assassination Classroom. Maybe I'll start Berserk on the side though.
I'm someone who really doesn't indulge in anime or manga often, but out of the many I've sampled, Berserk is the one that feels like a work of epic literature. It, along with Vagabond, Hellsing, and Vinland Saga are a testament to how wildly underrated the seinen demographic is in manga and anime as a whole. They're more than excess or testosterone...they're epic stories.
I....don't partically care much for Hellsing. I think it can be cheesy, taking itself too seriously for its own good. The abridged version of that series is a lot more entertaining to me. I say it's the better show, even though it is a parody.
Hellsing's only really good if you like the Gothic literature and copious amounts of history behind it. Most of the satire depends on you liking those things. I will say that Vagabond and Berserk take themselves 1000% more seriously than Hellsing does. They're a roller coaster of non-stop feels.
Why exactly were we singled out and banned from that thread, and he got the pass even though he started that nonsense by just basically passive aggressively stating "shut up, your opinion sucks".
