Those cops were completely out of line. I don't care if he had a gun, it was in his pocket, and he was pinned down and clearly not a threat.
There was absolutely no need to shoot him.

I live in Louisiana, yet I didn't hear about this yet.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=leayLmuOWzw In this video you can see him reaching for his gun with his right arm (which was not pinned to the ground like his legs and his left arm) though. Seems to me he actually was a threat to their lives so the cops had to respond. It's unfortunate though.
