like I said theoretically Espada and final battle with Aizen should have been last but Shonene Jump wanted to push it for more. Which led to final two arcs. Thats what I read back than at least
Aizen's defeat, Ichigo's return to human form and Rukia's departure would've been a fine way to end things. It would've left some characters like Nel and Grimmjow unresolved, but I'd rather have that than the utter crapshow we're getting now.
There are literal PAGES of characters standing around and talking about medial garbage like power levels and articulating the mathematical difference in their abilities. I don't know WHEN Kubo Tite decided to adopt the Kojima method to writing scenes, but it has ruined Bleach in almost impressive magnitude.
It has little to do with Kojima, but I think that idea to expand cannon fodder into full fledged characters was dumb. Nobody cares about their past, they basically dying left and right and besides honestly Espada was much more creative enemies than whole Quincies.
That being said, main villain is so over the top that it doesnt make any sense tbh. I grown tired from enemies that unbeatable by anyone but plot. Also absolutely absurd abilities seems like spawn from Jojo's bizarre adventure with only exception that JBA is actually good unlike Quinci's story.
The thing with the Esparda was that there were only 10 main ones and some fodder that was dispatched quickly. But there was 27 Sternritters and most of them had much longer battle length than their importance to the story justified.
I don't think it about not giving crap, its about finishing something before it got problems. I think Bleach now suffering from same problems, Buffy or Supernatural does. Basically after seasons that should have ended them, they continued to pull them up which resulted in quality drop.
@Chancey My "giving a crap-o-meter" on Bleach dwindled years ago once I outgrew shonen drivel and embraced the majesty of seinen. That said, I have a soft spot for it as one of my first anime...a love which has festered since it started to suck. It doesn't help that other series I love like Vagabond and Black Lagoon are stuck in hiatus mode.
Bleach is in the same boat as Naruto to me, I was really in to it when I was younger, but then I wised up and realized they were never that good in the first place.
@Chancey289 Exactly. Although, I must admit, even by the "Big 3" shonen standards, Naruto is terrible. At least the characters in One Piece and Bleach are likable to an extent. I couldn't attach my emotional investment in a single dillhole occupying the Naruto universe.
Welp, to sum up the last ten or so chapters: Ichigo & Orihime vs Yhwach, Ichigo gets his ass handed to him, he unleashes his hollow powers...doesn't do anything, unleashes his new bankai...get's broken in the same chapter, he gets his powers stolen by Yhwach, gets his sword repaired and now thinks he can win. Good job Ichigo.
@Blackquill, I'm gonna call it; the ultimate attack that finishes Yhwach is most likely gonna take every character (and the viewer) down memory lane while Ichigo spews some crap (most likely about friendship and ****), all the while a familiar theme blares in the background.
