It was his last appearance... so they had to make it count.

Ain't so. Wolverine: One Last Time's out next March, featuring the Old Man Logan storyline.

Really?

Well, either way, it's too bad he's not continuing after this. I wanted to see the costume.

@Rogers Jackman continuing to play the character wouldn't grant that you see the costume. As I recall, Singer pronounced himself against it, and I agree. That thing would look ridiculous in live action.

@WolfOD64 Not EXACTLY Old Man Logan story. There is so much stuff in it they can't use. It's gonna be a loose adaptation. It will be rated R btw.

@WolfOD64 The upcoming Wolverine film is gonna put that to shame, considering it's rated R. And I know it's wishful thinking, but I really want Deadpool to have a small role in that film, just to see some interaction between the two before Jackman hangs his claws.

I don't see them using the post apocalyptic setting but the marvel hero/villain cameos are easy to get around. Just use someone else (like Gambit/Cyclops/Deadpool instead of hawkeye)

@Rogers I think the closest you'll get to seeing Jackman in the suit is in the Origins: Wolverine Game. He even wears the X-Force Suit in that game. As for Deadpool being in Wolverine 3...Bryan Singer, I'm begging you: DON'T. That would literally destroy the film's tone.

There would be no harm in putting Deadpool as a cameo in a post credit scene. And I mean actual post credit, not mid credits. No risk of ruining the tone of the movie, and it would be awesome. I think it's also a given, seeing how much buddies Jackman and Reynolds are.

Oh, post-credits would be fine. Just not part of the main movie.

Doesn't necessarily have to be post-credits. A ten-minute appearance of him, enough for them to have a nice conversation and maybe a brief tussle/team-up. The Deadpool we got in the R-rated film is definitely Joe Kelly Deadpool which can be easily converted to fit a darker, less chipper tone. Just read the "How to build a prison" speech from the comics. Really brings out the homicidal maniac on Deadpool.
