Damn, well when I start my new job soon (in the mines with my Dad), I'll be working 12 hour shifts, which I'm so dreading...
Do you like the new DmC personally?...

Well im not a big DMC fan in general (Co-Owner of forums who isnt a fan I know). However I quite like the look of it and it seems to be shaping up quite well. Always going to be controversial but judge a game after it releases rather than beforehand. 12 hour shifts are rough for sure, done plenty of those in my time.

Meh, we like what we like...
True, the game does look pretty good, but I wish they'd just release the dang thing already so people can judge the whole thing, and not just individual characters they've seen for about 30 seconds...
I just hope after those shifts, they pay me well, otherwise they can go screw themselves...

I wouldnt 'knock' the game as it were just not my sort of thing but then again im not a big Capcom fan in general either (I know new title isnt by them). They just want to make sure they get everything done as well as it can be before they release it so silence the critics. Yeah id hate to work for so long and not be paid well.

Yeah, I'm more of a Squeenix fan myself, y'know, KH, FF and whatnot...
May I ask what your job is, if I'm not being too nosey?...

I like Square Enix and though I havent owned a FF game since XII I liked the series. They do publish a lot of games im a fan of though. Of course you may, I actually work for a Sports Nutrition company. Selling protein powders for athletes and supplements etc.

I especially like VII, even though they probably made more games off that one than than the others that followed...
But at least they make pretty good games, and that they don't take an hour to finish...
Sports Nutrition you say? That's very interesting, do you find it fun selling enhancers to people?...

I think IX and X were my favourites but I didnt play VII at the time so missed it first time around. Its a job not something I really have any interest in as such, just pays well. Obviously gaming is my hobby and spare time filler with websites and forums ive ran. How about you? Have a career planned or just plan to get a job to make some cash and see where you can go from there?

I'm a guilty fan of X and part two, just can't get enough of the epic aeons and completeing the sphere grid...
well, the mining job pays very well, so for now, I'll work there for a couple years to get my finance up. Then hopefully I'll be able to buy my own home in either my current home country or overseas, haven't decided yet...

Then when I finally buy my house, I'll probably take a tour round the world while starting up my cosplaying business...
That's about the gist of it...

I started like that in a way, I was originally at college learning game design and then in the gap between college and Uni I got this job. I didnt aim to stay here but it paid well and plan was to build up my finances and then return to Uni for the advanced programming and game design course but it never happened.

10 years later and im still here and I do own my own house now so though I dont really enjoy the job or have interest in it, it earns me a living so cant complain. Least you have a plan, thats half the battle...

Yeah, but do most people stick to their plans? Uhh, nope, I can see it falling to pieces already...
It depends really how things go, I'm meant to be moving overseas to my job, then I'm meant to come back home to pick up a friend of mine so we can still chill together, then finally meet DD92 in about four months...
If things keep going at this rate, I don't think there will be a plan to stick to...

Things change all the time, some things work out and others dont. So long as you have money coming in everything else can come afterwards. I didnt end up getting a job in the field of work I wanted but I make good money and have a hobby running great communities such as this one and others over the years so not all that bad.

I'm not envying my job, but it is mainly just for the money...
I'd love to run my own forum or something such as this, but I don't think I'd do a very good job, since I have a bad habit of chatting to people too much...

Chatting to people is a bonus on a forum as communication is the main thing they are for. I dont post as much here as I have on other forums ive ran over the years but I have 22,000 posts on one of our forums so could say I chat a lot too.

Getting to know members of the community and such is a bonus, one member ive chat to since my first forum about 9+ years ago and hes registered on most forums ive owned since then and became staff at a couple. Lives in another country and we have never met but we chat daily and hes a good friend of mine.

Well that's a good sign then, I'm heading in the right direction!...
Wow, 22,000 posts? I barely made it to 1000, but then again, that is posting, not PMing...
I like the fact that forums like these you can meet people from all over the world and chat to them on a daily basis, I have so many friends overseas now and I think it's great!...

I tend to post more than I chat but if people send me messages im happy to chat as you can see. Yeah can speak to people all over the world who are all into games your into and share experiences and opinions on a daily basis.

I love chatting to people, that's why a lot of work never gets done with me...
And it's nice to be able to chat to staff on forums, I think us members would love to know what you get up to when you're not here...
