Not to play the big bad tyrant that closes threads because he can, but if I continue seeing threads being transformed into a personal playground with kids exchanging messages like "Hey read my post!" "No way I don't like you" and the rest, then yes more threads will be closed.

Closing it seemed sensible.I just don't think it is necessary for all of the threads to be closed if it's due to the same people. And anyway, that's why we have the Ignore Function. If people can't learn how to use it and obide by forum rules, they shouldn't even bother to comment. That's just how I see it, but good job =)
