Eeeeeh, it was alright.
I dunno wasn't feeling it too much. I think it's because of the same reason I don't like Dante combo vids as much; its just a lot of zooming around and I don't see the combos being done.

LOL no seriously, I dunno what you're talking about. I am not nearly as good as these combo guys, but heck even I can see and understand every single move he did in that video. Same with Dante videos.
The only reason why I can't replicate those combos myself is because of my skills, the moves look perfectly understandable to me.

You remember we had a discussion like this before and I said "I don't care for the skill, but the visual appeal" or something close to that?
I like to see what's going on with the character, what moves they're using, and see some form of flow.
In that video, all I saw was Vergil zooming across the screen in DT and none of that "DMC3 Vergil iaido flare" he use to have. Now it's just Speedy Gonzales on speed.
Not my cup of tea for Vergil gameplay, and honestly, DMC4's combo vids are all like that with Dante and Vergil that with Dante, it's a rave flash show, but with Vergil, it's sonic the motivational hedgehog.

Yah. And I can see all that, even if I'm an average at best.
Vergil is a character that has insane speed as an established trait. So it's good to have that (finally) in gameplay too.
Also, he does have that Iaido flare as well. It's up to the player to pull that off. In fact, it's the way I play as him. So no, it's not true he doesn't have that flare anymore, even though some of his moves from DmC, like his Aerial Raves, did lose some of that vibe.

Uh... but that is actual gameplay. I actually don't believe you're not able to distinguish the moves, since even an average-at-best player like me can. LOL I can tell you every single move in that video, the heck?
I just think that you say that to sh8 on DMC4 cause you don't like it. No offense intended.

That is gameplay. If everything you want is pretty effects, games has nothing for you. There are lot of movies instead. Especially in our time.

Not even trying the sh8 on DMC4 this time. I'm generally not impressed with Vergil's gameplay like I thought I was.
It looked cool in the trailers and the very first gameplay we saw during that Capcom podcast, but seeing it in that video didn't impress me...at all.
But I'm not LOOKING for movies. I just prefer to see the gameplay and every single attack, animation, and quick flick of the wrist the character does, not a flash rave and blue streaks going across the screen.
Look if you guys don't like that I don't find Vergil's "gameplay" all that cool, just say so. I'll gladly go away so you guys can keep your hype. Just say something.

I thought DMC4: SE was different with how the Vergil/Trish/Lady gameplay looked. It wasn't. It was just more or less the same old, same old.
But that's alright. I know when I'm not wanted.

Most of Trish's moves are from Dante's past moves, Vergil's moves are mostly from DMC3/DmC/DMC3, and Lady is gunslinger x10.
But I'm not gonna front. I'm just gonna leave it.

Since when is Sonic not constituted "a game" or Sonic or Sonic-esque gameplay not considered actual gameplay.
You're basically saying if its too fast then its not actual gameplay.
