Beautifully done! It's not often I find myself listening to piano, but you did an excellent job covering this song. ^_^

I would love to download this, so I could listen to it while writing...sometimes all you need is a good instrumental to become inspired.

I liked it very much. I'm glad it's not like a copy-paste of the original. It seems like your version sort of became more intense at certain key points, which is nice, and is exactly what the original was missing. That said, the intro at 0:37 or so sounded less impressive than the original's, because the piano doesn't really allow for that kind of suspenseful transition, I think. After viewing it for the third time, it seems sometimes the pace should've been a bit faster so that the different sections don't become so... uniform.

Very good, all things considered. Keep up the good work!

I'm glad you liked it. I always try to add something to my music to make it a little different. Music isn't fun if you just copy everyone else. And I agree, the string sound from the original has a better flow into the first verse than what I did. Maybe I should have done a bit of a retard or something. I can see why you would think it needs to be faster. That seems to be the number one criticism I get for my piano videos. I actually do play it a little slower than the original. I personally like it a little slower. I feel it's easier to be expressive at a slower tempo. If you go to fast it can easily become just notes, rather than a song. But hey, that's just my opinion, thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I totally agree it sounds excellent at this pace, it's just the transitions between the verses that could stand out more from the rest of the piece, maybe. Man, I've got to brush up on my music terminology :p
No prob! Have you perhaps done 'Shall Never Surrender' on the piano too? Then again, that piece may be a little uninteresting. Keep it up :)

Love this. I actually listened to it a few days ago and couldn't help but put it on repeat for a few hours and sing to it lol. So very well done. Do we have a music thread yet? I'm sure there are plenty of us on here with some musical talent. I'm a singer myself, been singing for 10+ years, but I unfortunately never learned to play any instruments. It would be great to collab with people and hear some other DMC related pieces anyone has done. And again, awesome job Adam :thumbsup:

I have not done Shall Never Surrender. It's a little different from what I usually play. But hey it might be fun to try it sometime. Currently I'm working on a song from Bravely Default.

Wow a few hours! I didn't think it was that good haha. Glad you enjoyed it. A music thread sounds pretty cool, not sure how much I could contribute to it. Devil May Cry music seems to prefer metal over traditional piano music. I'm actually a singer too. I've been taking classic voice lessons for about 3 years. If you feel like posting some vocal stuff, I would be glad to hear it. And it's never to late to learn an instrument.

I'm working on getting approval from someone who played a beautiful guitar version of Out of Darkness that I've been imaging for awhile so I hope all goes well with that. And I think a piano version of Shall Never Surrender would be awesome. The piano is one of my favorite instruments.
