i was never able to use the royal guard in style in DMC3 or DMC4,i just dont feel like blocking attacks when i can just slice the enemies apart with the other styles. if i keep attacking they wont have time to do the same.

actually dantes part in the gameplay is just backtracking after nero so, maybe they were just planning to have him run that part and then changed their mind.

i think you are right that i shouldn't have mentioned Dante. i dont think that the demons power is completely focused in neros arm because its pretty clear that when using the DB only an arm appears, but in the DT form the demon is behind you and the Db is much stronger.
