Hey, sorry this is coming like a month late, but you did a nice job with this. I like the lower key. Makes it feel more relaxed. I like the idea of this thread, but I unfortunately have nothing new to add at the moment.

I have not done Shall Never Surrender. It's a little different from what I usually play. But hey it might be fun to try it sometime. Currently I'm working on a song from Bravely Default.

I'm glad you liked it. I always try to add something to my music to make it a little different. Music isn't fun if you just copy everyone else. And I agree, the string sound from the original has a better flow into the first verse than what I did. Maybe I should have done a bit of a retard...
