Concentrated vergil

Show me your motivation
I love vergil and wanted to know any advance stuff with him like techniques or combo suggestions etc. thanks in advance ^.^ i'll try to contribute with anything I find."Show me your motivation"

If you use a just charged judgment cut on the fish looking enemy it will momentarily stop them allowing for follow up attacks . Also it can hit multiple of them

Before a boss fight lock-on and shoot summon swords at the boss which will build concentration and will let you have easy and quicker access to your air trick, letting you dodge and cancel attacks

Just charge judgment cut is exactly 2seconds(faster than normal pace, say 1 dot 2 to practice the timing)from the push of the melee button(necessary to get the hang of this)

I don't have a PS4, XBONE or a good PC/Laptop to be able to know how to use Vergil to his true potential, and looking at some players on Youtube and here too...non've you bearly scratched the surface with his moves can do. Concentration is an interesting mechanic and if used properly boy you can dish out some serious hurt on enemy foes.

  • Grim-Trick can allow Vergil to move to one or more enemy and help cover a large amount space, so if you can hock a Summoned sword into an enemy foe then blitzing past them is easy and you can take them out with style...but you're gonna have to go creative with this one though. Teleportation is a must use it wisely. Also Use Table Hopper to lure enemies towards you...use this while in Devil Trigger. Make fun of Berial whlst using this OK. Everyone except Sanctus...don't run "Teleport" < it's imperative you use this due to "Concentration"
  • Force Edge this is where you really want to pay close attention since there are countless of ways where using this sword on Alto and Bianco's Angelo's, can create loads of damage on them and disabling their shields is as easy as strike > strike > teleport > strike > strike > teleport > strike > disable sield > Go wild and there you go...however Stingers can come in handy if you manage to time them correctly otherwise is can go a big stale, and you'll loose Concentration all together. Sanctus, Frosts, Angelo's.
  • Yamato now this is where style is used more affectively since Yamato can preety much make stylish combat look like dancing in the sky, and the Ariel rave combo A and B can be useful on more than one enemy, so Launch them into the sky with Force Edge and go wild with Yamato, but don't hesitate to use Judgement Cut < This will give you an edge although I'm pretty ****ed that you can't use it more than once, and the Just Frame Judgement Cut seems a bit tacky for my taste to be honest. Judgement Cut End is absolutely cheesy but I like it since maxing out the style metter should be fun. Dante, Credo, Agnus, Alto/Bianco, Sanctus, Echidna, Berial.
  • Beowulf the gauntlets and greaves are the powerhouse of all the Devil Arms since you can use Charged and Distortions quite effectively and the Lunar Phase will help in combination with Yamato.....Launch enemy > Yamato > Strike A/B > Judgement Cut > A/B > Lunar Phase > A/B > Just Frame Judgement Cut...End it with Force Edge. Frosts, Agnus, Credo, Beal, Echidna, Berial.
  • Summoned Swords are fun because you can use it to hold enemies down and unleash a barrage of attacks on them whilst not having to move at all, and to add salt to injury you can mock them by juggling them in the air...Spiral Swords is your ali in this because it allows you to have a space where you can charge a Judgement Cut. Spin that sword on the tip of your finger for an added bonus for instant mockery. Scarecrows, Mephistos, Blitzes, Chimeras.
  • Devil Trigger is important when you want to power up your other Devil Arms and add extra damage.
You can do lot's with all the moves at your disposal...the important factor is the three "T's" Time, Teleportation and Trick. If you know how to use these correctly then gameplay is fun and easy.

However one thing that could be great is if there's a training stage like in DmC in a possible new game, so people can practice their moves in the future...yeah sure Bloody Palace is great but....hmmmmm

If you can successfully sheathe Yamato fully in Yamato combo A and B while in combat you will gain a full Devil Trigger rune! (It may work for other combos I haven't confirmed that yet.)

You can also just charge Beowulf.

Beowulf can actually be automatically just charged to a "level 3" when concentration is maxed out. Just keep holding the charge past level 2 and eventually, Vergil will release the powered up punch/kick. Seems like this is Beowulf's specific concentration mechanic (Yamato got range, Force Edge got multi-hit).

Which reminds me... can't wait till I unlock Super Vergil.

Not sure if it's known yet, but Ifound out a really neat trick against Credo, when he does his summoned swords you can shoot your own back to negate each others swords.

Damn I didn't think of that...props on good observation.

Constantly using Grim Trick on Echidna in her dragon form will result in her flying around, unable to hit you, so you can safely avoid taking damage from that.

Now this is useful when dodging is necessary needed to move out of the way of danger.

use blistering swords when Echidna is flying at you for a easy Style rank

you can also just shoot her with the others but i think it works best with Vergil so far

You can jc cancel the spinning heel kick on echidnas head when she is planted on the ground and it does massive damage
