"6 Reasons Ninja Theory Will Revitalise Devil May Cry" - IGN

what tameem is saying is that there are walls that block your path, (as shown above in dmc3 and dmc4) and now there is a reason for these walls to block your path.
I see only doors and paths being blocked. No walls. Paths are same thing as doors.
There is no reason in DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4 for paths and doors being blocked other than "Kill demons and you can procceed". This reason that Tameem have introduced is for DmC.

I think what he means is that the doorways and paths are being blocked BY demon-walls. Y'know, like when you get locked into a room when you have to kill demons and that hand grabs at you if you get too close to it. I think that's what he means with walls.

Good thinking.

Wickedly good
It's not the same for the fact that those web thingy come outta nowhere & for no reason in particular, but in DmC limbo shifts, moves & breaks-up to block your path because it's a living entity, that wants to kill you. In past dmc it's just a road blocker with no reason for it cos in a human world(which dante supposedly lives in)why would his pathway be blocked by web thingy.
PS: has anyone ever wondered why doors are never used as Doors and you actually warp/dissappear through them instead of open them. It was weird & kinda lame to me IMO.

No reason in particular? I kinda agree with you on that one. it was lame of Capcom to not to have explained that.

But I look into it with a different perspective- your path gets blocked because demons know Dante has arrived into their area and they block Dante's path with their demonic energy to kill him; but when you kill all those demons, the demonic energy blocking your path disintegrates and Dante is free to go. My assumption? Indeed.

I always looked it like that and hence NT'S Limbo-blocking is similar to DMC for me. But, Limbo-blocking is backed by OFFICIAL WORDS and so....

I have said this many times DMC is a gameplay type of game. It's focus is gameplay.
And it has little realism in it.

If your gonna tear apart everything by DMC then you can do that with everything. Such as "It's not very realistical for a person to have white hair", or he gets stabbed with swords tons of times and he does not die despite you seeing liters and liters of blood rushing out of his body, or how Dante in DMC 1 shoots a motorcycle with bullets and it doesn't explode but gets pushed...

It's really weird how DmC is a stand alone game but when Ninja theory makes a reason for this game. A reason for why DmC world traps Dante when he meets demons (the reason being limbo), people try to apply that "reason" to other DMC games.

The reason for the spiderwebs, aura walls blocking doors/paths in DMC 1,2, 3 and 4 is two:
1) Demons appeared he was ambushed/surrounded (a logical reason)
2) Gameplay thing.

If you don't like people picking apart the original Devil May Cry, then why do you do so with the new Devil May Cry?

Watching Devil May Cry gameplay i noticed the puppets were on a string.
Perhaps Tameem watched that and thought "What is controlling these puppets?"

And that lead to creation of Limbo in DmC?

Those are reasons but limbo is a much more reasonable reason.
When people talk about Realism it doesn't necessarily mean 'normal human realism' i think it means A logical or relatable reason for what is happening. Dante is fast, can heal e.t.c why because he's a human hybrid(not realistic but we know demons are powerful so someone with demonic traits would also kick ass)where do the demons come from? Limbo,an evil entity/world that creates demons(not totally realistic but science fiction has always talked about a multiverse,so an 'Evil-Earth' spawning demons is a bit logical)than random demons coming out in 'Our Earth'.
Realism could also be more balanced. Dante is usually over-powered in cutscenes but under-powered in gameplay. How do i mean?
-Dante kills demons with one bullet in cutscenes but hundreds in real-time. Realism-If it takes hundred in gameplay a few dozens in cutscenes would be fine.
-he can get run through with countless scythes in cutscene but one swipe of the scythe in gameplay would knock him 1/2 way across the stage.
Realism-Don't let him get hit in cutscenes,if he does get hit it should be necessary not to show badassery(it's so cliché) & let him show sign of impact/little pain/stagger.(wolverine can heal he doesn't need to laugh when getting hit to show he's badass).
All in all do we really need all that fighting in cutscenes i mean explain the f**king story & leave the fighting to us. E.g. God of war kratos doesn't fight unnecessarily in cutscenes neither does War(darksiders) the leave us all the fighting and explain the frigging story. No wonder DMC stories have always been subpar.

Are you saying that Limbo exists in DMC 1, 2, 3 and 4? Are you saying because developers of a new DmC game comes up with a idea of a demon world, that it automatically overwrites other previous games?

DMC and DmC is not the same serie.

There is DmC...
And DMC.

DmC is a new game. For all we know there is no Trish, no Sparda, no Vergil, etc in it.
And my point with saying that is that DmC is a new game not tied to DMC.

So DMC is not tied to DmC either.

Dantino

no i'm not sayin limbo exist in dmc 1,2,3 & 4 neither did i say DmC is tied to DMC i was just explaining the realism of a thing. Re-read and try to understand what i wrote.

I think what he is trying to say is that in a world like Limbo, it would be logical how the things are in that world.

Take Tolkien, for example. He created a world, made its own laws and races and such. Then it is logical for elves in that world to be able to do magic, it is logical for orcs to exist, it is logical that one ring is able to make its user invisible and so on. Logic and realism is used within the world it is in. Many things in Devil May Cry aren't realistic compared to OUR world, but in the world that Devil May Cry is in, it is logical for demons to exist, it is logical for Dante to be able to swing a huge zweihander as if it is a light stick, it is logical that Nero can make his sword go vrooom and then do extra damage and so on.

To quote Einstein: "Everything is relative." ^^

im pretty sure he is talking about paths being blocked by walls, not walls being blocked.

As I think the new DmC will most likely won't be really "revitalising" the series, I still think that it'll be a decent game.

Am I the only one noticing a trend here? The people who are for DmC are saying the article was well done, but the people against DmC are saying it was horrible or cringe-worthy.
Guys, isn't it obvious it was made for someone who is actually FOR this game? It's written on the title! Six ways it'll fix Devily May Cry, not 6 Opinions on DmC (which would be a very interesting article, actually). So, yeah, it's a little biased. But that's because it's an opinion, not much of an article where they show the news (aka: facts...the complete opposite of opinion).
Me, I didn't find the post amazing but I didn't find it cringe-worthy. I took it as someone saying what good things are in there.
Now, if they made a post with more opinions on how the game is so far, that would be pretty interesting...
