Capcom: Vergil’s Downfall DLC ‘takes place just after the events of DmC’

More details concerning the first major dosage of DLC for DmC: Devil May Cry DLC pack, Vergil’s Downfall, have begun to surface, and this time courtesy of Capcom’s very own GregaMan. During a recent discussion on the Capcom-Unity boards, it was revealed that the upcoming DLC pack would not in fact be a prequel, but would instead serve as something more akin to a mini sequel of sorts, with Vergil’s Downfall continuing straight off from where the main story mode of DmC ends. GregaMan left this teaser-ific remark:

“Actually Vergil’s Downfall is not a prequel; it takes place just after the events of DmC. That’s all I’m sayin’ about that.”

Still no word yet regarding an official launch date for the highly anticipated add-on, but we’re hoping that it won’t be long now before we’re able to don that familiar fedora, hop into those neatly polished loafers, and continue cleansing Limbo of all remaining hellions with The Order’s misguided leader.

Before I ask this question I just wanna say well done ninja theory and everyone that worked on dmc. Now my only question is, if you didnt get the pre-order for vergil’s downfall, can one expect the dlc to be in the marketplace soon to buy seperate?

  They said that it would be on the Marketplace in February, for 720 microsoft points. That was before the preorder codes didn’t work though. I’m assuming it’ll just be released on marketplace, but those people that preordered and have a code will get it for free.

  They didn’t work? I was under the impression we we’re to put in the code on the designated website and wait for an email with the code around release time.

tbh i realy like it if this dlc was on a cd like dragon age orgins if any of you played it…it was like this..look idk how it realy worked but to aculy play it yud need the orignal cd the main dragon age orgins then youd buy the new cd…i dont like saying this alot but im kinda pissed that people like capcom whould put the damn dlc on xbox live you have to pay for xbox live ever month not to mention most cant even get xbox live due to the fact they dont have a conection to it..thats even more of a wast of time!!><….look if capcom and ninja thiror can see this plz post this on there site even the stuff im bout to say look i like your new dmc devil may cry ever since i saw the 1st video the very 1st one i wasnt surre if that was dante but him jumping like that and stuff tolled me it was him and ill be truthfull i was realy pumed realy happy to see this come out ik it was going to be good cuz you guys always made the gameplay look good better then the next one but plz if theres anyway at all plz put the dlc on a disc idk if skyrims makers will have a goty edition if they dont..well realy makes me unhappy cuz i heard that goty editions have specils stuff in it even the dlc..if possable can you put it on a cd like dragon age orgins?…i dont usely post susgestions like this offten i prefur to let people like you handly your own stuff but i realy like dmc and vergils one of my fav chars plus theres also son of sparda edition idk if the dlc is going to be in it on a cd…but plz take my idea in to consideration…at least think bout it for a bit plz…tnx capcom forever^^

oh and im i realy like dmc i like capcom i dont hate i love that company…just want to be able to get a dlc thats not on xboxlive im sorry..just leting you know i like you guys…so if i didnt say that in my 1st comment then youll know in this one…i like you guys
