Devil May Cry 5

Devil May Cry 5 is rumoured to be the next instalment in the DMC series (no official word on development of Devil May Cry for PSP as yet) and is also said to feature the return of Nero, Dante, Trish, Lady, and Vergil.

I'm hoping that Dante is once again the main character. With a hint of feminism from Lady. Trish is too much like Dante's mother to really catch my interest as the apple of his eye.

I played little trickles of 4, but since I do not have an XBOX, or any video game system of the sort, I never got to dive deep into it like I did with the previous three. Regardless, Nero wasn't all that fun, personally. Virgil was interesting. Jester was fun. C: But, please, if you read these silly grammatically challenged posts, and spot mine, please please please… Don't let anyone steal the spotlight from Dante again.

  I agree with Sol Rebel. Nero was cool, don't get me wrong here, he's a very exciting and fun person to play, but i thought Dante was better. In the beginning, I really didn't enjoy that Dante was being replaced by a brand new character. But once you see all the cutscenes and play Nero, you change all your negative thoughts about him. And start thinking positive. But Sol Rebel DOES have a good point. Nero should be in the next one, hell, he could even be a playable character, but he can't be the main character again. It belongs to Dante. It won't be DMC without him. And I don't mean to offend anyone (especially NEROMAN 517, who I don't want to be enemies with) but that's what I think.

why are you's all againest nero whats wrong with him hes cool strong smart assed what more could you want i think he's awsum. but think of when he heard those screams in his head and he said he did that for kyrie when he first got the yamato?? so he got his devil bringer for kyrie so how is it vergils reincarnation? its and experiment. ive also heard this from somebody that it was that guy that stuters but when they met they didnt knw each other? weird ha?

  dante got lot of experience & he knows to handle the condition. u cant say nero is not stronge bcoz dmc4 was his first fight.

Wtf dudes dante nor nero should be the next main charcter i have nuthing against none of them but i just think if dante is going to be the next main charcter he dosent need all the same moves, then it would be better, the next main charcter should be different like vergil or even if dante has one about his son!

yeah i was thinking that u's all wont dante vergil or sparda y not a new playable but then that could corrupt the hole dmc bcuz they hav had dante still unanswered questions(i think??) and nero way to many unanswered questions and vergil(in hell dnt knw) he still has alot in the story and sparda(i havnt heard much) but i jst find nero easyer and way more effective to use on dmc4 but dante he got awsum moves but hard to get round to them. but yeah thats my…..thing?

Hmm…Dante's son? I can't see Dante as a daddy. But it would be cool if DMC5 would be about Vergil. Cuz' then it would be all equal. U got three games focused on Dante, one on Nero, and another on Vergil. My mistake, Vergil deserves the spotlight for once.

  nebula's kinda right vergil needs a spotlight to, so does sparda n nubula let me ask you this did you forget about dante from dmc2 he proobab;ly settled down with lucia after he came back from hell n new that he wouldnt live forever n needed someone to take va his shop after he's gone so he probbly haad a child with lucia n then that child wil probably start devil hunting once lucia gets killed and think nero is a bad guy n the son o the legendary dark night dante and the son of the legendary ark slayer battle it out comment on this!

  Oh, and I did sorta forget DMC2. It wasn't all that good, do u remember how Dante acted? :) He wasn't himself! But wouldn't he be mixing Sparda's blood with another demon's blood if he had a child with Lucia? I dunno I guess I totally forgot DMC2.

  Whoa, NEROMAN517, calm down. We really didn't have a game that JUST focused on Vergil! DMC3 focused on THREE characters. Lady, Dante, and Vergil. Not on just Vergil. So, Come on, Vergil really deserves the spotlight.

  That thought crossed my mind; Vergil was like living with Alice, but the thing is, that she's a little girl who can transform into an older woman. And she is demon too. Anyways maybe nero could stand up to Dante because he has more human in him. I always thought that the reason Dante was always superior to the other FULL demons was because he has a human part, and he has a soul, or something like that. But I dunno if Vergil…uh…mated with Alice. It could be a strong possibility though.

  oh wow i beat all dmcs but 2 cus i thought it was to but i only played first level and broke it! Vergil n alice might already had a thing going cus rember what she said to him??? She said "i hate it win you look at me that way!" Maybe vergil and alice already had there thing going in the manga but vergil maybe didn't treat her like she wanted to be treated, like one of those bad relationships!

  They did tease Nero about his mom that she was a prositute. Well, Alice really looks like one to me. But, I'm not excatly positive if he had it with her or not, I always thought that he would have had it with a human. Since, his father did, and Vergil really did admire his father.

  Wait, Alice turned into a grown woman for a short period right? But when she was living with Vergil, wasn't she just a little girl with demon powers? And when she got Dante's amulet then I dunno, I guess she sold her soul or something to be a grown woman again. So, I dont think Vergil had it with Alice when she was a little girl. I'm not so sure, that's how I saw it.

  i didnt think vergil did either but they didnt explain things in the manga they dont explain things in any of things excapt for the anime like dmc 1, they never explained if vergil died or telaported to a different place, dmc 2 they didnt explain if that was dante on the motorcycle at the end, or lady or trish, dmc 3 they did explain alot in that one i geuss in numba for who the helll is nero!Q!!!!!!!! u no what im saying!

  It couldn't be Lady's motorcylce at the end of DMC2! XD DMC2 takes place WAY off into the future, she'd be dead already. Not unless she gained immortality or something.

  Lady first appears in Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening so Capcom didn't intend it to be Lady's motorcycle in the first place. It could be perhaps his to begin with. And besides, just like Nebula said, 'DMC2 takes place WAY off into the future' so there's no way Dante can't buy one from all those years passed as him being a Demon Hunter. He could be probably be rich prior to the DMC 2 time line as what he had said in the manga. XD

I agree with the thought of having Vergil back if ever there will be DMC 5. Considering how great as a character he was is such too good to be just exterminated. Thought I must say I'm a madcap fan of him, I still want Dante as the main character since DMC itself is for Dante in the first place. However, regarding to Nero, I must admit that I'm not that fond of him and I don't see him as a 'not-so-good' character as well. I even want him to be part of the story by any chances and have the game explained much about him so that we won't be speculating false judgments and theories among the characters. Well anyway, DMC series will always be my favorite. DMC FTW! XD

  well considering that he did kinda save dante with his whole go with out me hell probaly be good but still thinking of ways to obtain power and for all you folks out there who say nero cant be vergils son because vergil would have to "get with" some your thinking people logic 4 all you know nero could be born of vergils blood or a reincarnation and he is a preaty good charecter still no where near the level of dante and definetly not close to vergil (vergil is da best) but with some hard training he could get 1/4 of the way there

will let's face it ppl if DMC5 is coming the characters is gonna be like this:
DANTE: closer to his fathers form and they will make him stronger n stronger cuz they said that dante has surpassed sparda, his jokes will
be funner and he will pawn demon's just by looking at them XD lol
NERO: probably they'r gonna explain his origins and how the hill did he got his demon arm. maybe a new sword, a new form for blue Rose, new powers for his devil arm, "and hopefully NOT the main character".
And i wish bring vergil back not as a bad guy but as a good guy
i would love to see the son's of sparda fight each other again.
will thats my thoughts about DMC5 and i hope they make it better than god of war 3.

about vergil and alice it might be true i don't know maybe,but i hope
they explain every thing.

  well, once i read somthing on YouTube that Virgil met a women named Alice, he felt the love and happyness toward's her. 'They both evetually had a son together, and named him Nero'. They were happy until Virgil left beacause he had to go on some sort of mission. He came back, and found his wife dead, and Nero gone. This make's Virgil very angry and his quest for power begins.

  Dante is Nero's dad? Well, good theory but the order for DMC is 3,1,4,2 so lucia couldn't be nero's mommy. DMC2 takes off WAY in the future. Yeah, I thought nero was dante's kid too, but I think nero being Vergil's kid is a little more reasonable. I mean, nero dream of a man asking him what he wants. Nero said: Well what do u want? And the man (obviously Vergil) replied: Power need more power. Sooo, I think nero is Vergil's son. Cuz' that explains why the yamato came to nero when he was in trouble.

It's true that in the DMC 4 novel, Nero in his dream is talking to a man he had never met, who is obviously Vergil. Seem to be reasonable for me to have 'father-son' relationship between them. Still, we shouldn't base our theories to that since DMC 4 novel isn't officially cannon in the first place. What is more convincing is what the game itself would tell. So we don't have any choice but just to wait for the next DMC game.

  Yes, you're right. I could also care less if Nero is Vergil's son or not. It's up to Capcom how they would able to explain it as long as it's reasonable, or else, DMC plot will be doomed for sure.

Well for those of you that hasnt played Bayoneta , its from the same creaters of devil may cry and the pace of the game is out of the work she almost in a way makes dante and Nero powers seem week but in away tahts a good as they can combine the ideas of both bayoneta and devil may cry 4 to make a awesome devil may cry 5!!

  Bayoneta makes Dante and Nero's powers seem weak? But, Capcom like, already makes Dante seem he's like invincible or something! Trust me, I've seen the anime, played ALL the games, and read the books. I even think Nero could beat Bayoneta easily. But, if DMC5 comes out, then it'll be more likely that it will be better. I don't know, I've never really played the Bayoneta games…So I probably shouldn't be talking…
