Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Pride
Hell Pride’s Profile
These are the most common and weakest of the Hell family, they do not pose much of a threat alone but when in groups they can take you by surprise. Their only attack consists of a basic scythe swing but since they are so ridiculously slow, evasion shouldn’t be a problem.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Lust
Hell Lust’s Profile
These are also very common throughout the game. They are marginally stronger then the Hell Pride’s and benefit from greater speed but they are still relatively simple to dispatch.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Sloth
Hell Sloth’s Profile
Their quite thin and tall, but exceptionally slow. They tend to use their teleportation ability to appear behind you followed by a quick slash so be careful.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Wrath
Hell Wrath’s Profile
This poor buggers only mission in life is to self destruct, bless. They lumber around slowly wielding a giant pulsing bomb, shoot from a safe distance and they shouldn’t be a problem.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Gluttony
Hell Gluttony’s Profile
These are very similar to the standard Hell Pride variety of enemies, but they have the nasty ability of belching out sand at high speed and quite far as well. They becomes stronger when shot so melee combat is recommended.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Envy
Hell Envy’s Profile
You first meet these in Leviathan’s stomach and also have alot in common with the Hell Pride class except they are slightly more powerful but still rather easy.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Greed
Hell Greed’s Profile
These dawdle around the battlefield carrying a coffin which they will attempt to clobber you with if you come close. I personally find these to be the most taxing of all the Hell clan, as they can spawn other Hell enemies at will and they seem to be able to take your attacks and shrug them off.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Hell Vanguard
Hell Vanguard’s Profile
A sort of mini-boss enemy that becomes more common as you progress. They have the ability to teleport and reappear at the blink of an eye so stay on your toes. The scythe that it holds seems to change colours depending on certain events in the fight.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Enigma
Enigma’s Profile
The Enigma sort of plays the role of an archer in this game. They can launch multiple fluorescent arrows at you but they can be easy to avoid provided you have some distance between you. Charge in and rip into him when the chance arises as they have no way of defending themselves up close.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Soul Eater
Soul Eater’s Profile
These have a nasty habit of draining your devil trigger and also disappearing when you look in their direction, you have to try and outsmart them by utilising your Trickster style and using your handguns / shotgun effectively.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Blood Goyle
Blood Goyle’s Profile
These can be very tedious in groups as sword attacks split them into twos and gunshots split them into several! They constantly attempt to swoop at you and suck your blood. Try and concentrate on killing one before moving onto any others so they do not have time to recover.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Dullahan
Dullahan’s Profile
These don’t server a massive purpose, they simply float around in a straight line. They hold a large spinning shield in front of them to deter you from attacking up front, so your best bet is to hit them from behind where they are vulnerable.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Arachne
Arachne’s Profile
The Arachne’s always appear in packs of two or three and you should instantly recognize their webbed territory. It’s best to attack them with full force as firearms seem ineffective against them. Beware of their web blasts as they will attempt to entangle and paralyse you while they attack.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Abyss
Abyss’s Profile
These creatures turn up when a key event occurs during the story and they reap all the benefits of the Hell variety of foes, by this I mean they are capable of utilizing the Hell Vanguard’s teleport technique as well as variations of other previous enemies.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Damned Pawn
Damned Pawn’s Profile
Your common variety foe of your the chess piece variety. Their only attack is a double sword slash attack, but fortunately they can only hit you from the front and are incapable of attacking anything behind them. Retains alot of stamina but is generally very easy to tackle.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Damned Rook
Damned Rook’s Profile
The Damned Rook uses laser like projectiles to attack from afar and move extremely slowly but what they lack in speed they make up for in defence.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Damned Knight
Damned Knight’s Profile
The Damned Knight (like it’s real life chess counterpart) is the most manoeuverable of the chess based enemies. It can leap a fair distance to get to you and stomp on you if you are close. Whenever you are nearby he will also attempt to gore you with it’s horn.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Damned Bishop
Damned Bishop’s Profile
The Damned Bishop is the spell caster of the group and has two very diverse abilities: one of which allows it to heal itself along with nearby allies, but provided you take him out early he won’t be able to help his comrades. The second technique is that he is able to envelope himself in a fiery shield and spread in four directions.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Damned Queen
Damned Queen’s Profile
A very predictable but tough opponent, she likes to sweep across the chess board and collide head-on with you. Fortunately she always indicates where she is attempting to move to, which makes it very easy for you to determine her path of movement.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Damned King
Damned King’s Profile
Just like his real life counterpart, the King isn’t at all intimidating. He has a rather small attack radius that can easily be avoided, although he does have alot of stamina meaning you may have to pummel him for some time before he keels over. Something to bare in mind is that he is able to “Castle” with a Damned Rook is one if nearby.
Devil May Cry 3: Dante’s Awakening Enemy: Fallen
Fallen’s Profile
The Fallen are considered the toughest foes in the game, they are able to fly and phase in and out of walls. They use their massive wing span to cover themselves and use them as a sort of shield. Avoid their energy sword attacks at all costs as they deal alot of damage.
