In a press release today printed by Capcom Co. Ltd on the official site (link), Capcom announced that the highly-anticipated Devil May Cry 4 will no longer be a Playstation 3 exclusive, which can only mean more bad news for Sony as they seem to be at the receiving end of a wave of unfortunate problems recently.
Devil May Cry 4 is now officially stated to be released simultaneously on both next-generation consoles, the Sony Playstation 3 and the Microsoft Xbox 360, as well as PC shortly after perhaps.
The news of yet another of Sony’s must-have titles straying from the platform to their competitor, Microsoft, while obviously not the most pleasant news in the world for the giant Japanese company, can only mean good news for us faithful Devil May Cry fans now that the series is branching into a much wider market and allowing Capcom to release the sublime Devil May Cry series to a much, much wider audience.
You can also talk about this latest news article within our Devil May Cry 4 forum, where a thread talking about the pros and cons of Devil May Cry 4 going multi-platform is being currently being discussed: Devil May Cry 4 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
I would also offer a special thank you to Devil May Cry forum member, shadyoc, for kindly reminding me of this important Devil May Cry 4 news bulletin.
